Stena turns waste into new products. Through research and development we've created new abrasive material entirely manufactured from recycled picture tube panel glass. The new material offers unique advantages especially suitable for corrsion sensetive materials, replacing tradional abrasives.The environmental advantages of recycling picture tube glass are signifacant, as we save natural resources as well as large amounts of energy.   

2G-Blast

2G Blast is a new efficient abrasive enterily manufactured from recycled CRT panel glass. It's the perfect new alternative for cleaning the body of ships and boats and other surfaces, replacing traditional blasting abrasives.

Being made from recycled CRT glass, the 2G Blast abrasive offers unique advantages:

• Very low and well defined Fe-content makes the material especially suitable for corrosion sensitive materials like stainless steel and aluminium.
• Higher cleaning speed compared to other glass abrasives.
• Harder than other glass abrasives (Mohs 7).
• Customized grain size 0,05-3000 µm.
• Environmentally friendly.
• Low dust content.
• Fully certified.

2G Cut

2G Cut is an efficient water cutting abrasive made from recycled CRT panel glass. It can be used for cutting various materials such as aluminium, steel, stainless steel, plastics and compound materials (carbon fiber, rubber-metal, etc) replacing traditional cutting devices.

Being made from recycled CRT glass, the 2G Cut abrasive offers unique advantages:

• Very low and well defined Fe-content makes the material especially suitable for
• corrosion sensitive materials like stainless steel and aluminium.
• Low surface roughness.
• Environmentally friendly.
• Customized grain size 20-350 µm depending on application.
